This post relies on a huge generalization which states that when you age you become more passive and mellow. Cranky grandparents are more numerous than calling them the exception would allow, and so you’ll need to consider returning this post to the sender. However, it does apply to the aged who have markedly mellowed over the years. Some diseases have passiveness as a side effect. The manifestation of this side effect is most apparent in people who are normally full of conviction and aggressiveness. It could be lithium in the water, but it could also be aging. If someone has always been on the mellow side, it logically would take longer to diagnose this person as having a mellow inducing disease since there would be no obvious change in behavior.
